Ocular Therapeutix

Ocular Therapeutix’s novel technology, the I-ZIP^® Ocular Bandage, is an in situ formed hydrogel bandage that creates a temporary, soft and lubricous surface barrier for clear corneal incisions used in cataract and intraocular lens (IOL) placement surgeries.  The I-ZIP Bandage protects clear corneal incisions from the external environment and is designed to stay on the incision throughout the re-epithelialization process, upon which it gently sloughs off in the patient’s tears.

Ocular Therapeutix is dedicated to the development and commercialization of ophthalmic therapeutic products using its proprietary and synthetic hydrogel technology to address unmet or underserved needs in ophthalmology and ophthalmic surgery.

The I-ZIP Adherent Ocular Bandage is CE Mark Approved.

The I-ZIP Ocular Bandage is an investigational device that has undergone extensive evaluation in US clinical trials and is not yet commercially available in the united states.
